Jock MKT is one of the most interesting fantasy sports platforms because of your ability to make money on any individual player available on the market. Other users will dictate the price of players, meaning you’ll always have the option to buy anyone in the player pool.
You may be forced to pay a premium for the best players on the slate, although their price tag will never exceed the $25 per share you’ll receive if they lead the slate in scoring. You aren’t forced to buy high-priced options, though.
With over 100 players on the market, some will go overlooked every Sunday. You don’t need to buy the most expensive options on the market to have the potential for a massive payday. In this article, I’ll look at my favorite potential values for Week 18.
Chase Claypool, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Jock MKT Projection: 11.63 FPs
Max IPO Bid: $4.00
Break-Even Rank: 42
Claypool’s been somewhat of a disappointment throughout the 2021 season. He’s posted 54 receptions for 823 yards and 1 touchdown on 98 targets through 14 games. Overall, he owns a 55.1% catch rate to go along with 15.2 yards per reception this season.
Claypool’s struggled to consistently produce fantasy points, and he hasn’t flashed elite upside over his last 10 games. Over that span, he’s recorded single-digit fantasy points in 6 of his 10 games, topping out at 17.5 fantasy points. Claypool owns more upside than that, though, as he posted 5 receptions for 130 yards and 1 touchdown on 6 targets against the Denver Broncos in Week 5.
He gets an elite matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. They’re allowing a league-high 281.7 passing yards per game and 8.6 adjusted yards per attempt in 2021. The Ravens have also allowed 30 passing touchdowns with a 5.2% passing touchdown rate through 16 games this season.
Baltimore’s struggled throughout the season with air yards and yards after the catch (YAC). They’ve allowed the fourth-most air yards (2,381) and second-most YAC (2,342) in the NFL this season. The Ravens have also given up a league-high 4,723 airYAC in 2021.
Claypool’s found success with both air yards and YAC this season. He’s seen 27.8% of Pittsburgh’s air yards thus far. He’s recorded 1,137 air yards with an 11.6 aDOT in 2021. Claypool’s averaging 5.8 yards after the catch per reception this season as well. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, he’s consistently created yards himself with the ball in his hands.
Claypool only ranks 84th in Jock MKT’s pre-rank for this weekend. He’s projected for 11.63 fantasy points, which is his second-lowest projection over his last 10 games. With that being said, Diontae Johnson’s in Covid protocols and expected to miss this game. Claypool should take over as the WR1 and see extra opportunities. Hopefully, his price tag doesn’t get too out of control before the IPO locks this weekend.
Darnell Mooney, WR, Chicago Bears
Jock MKT Projection: 11.18 FPs
Max IPO Bid: $4.00
Break-Even Rank: 42
Mooney’s looked outstanding in a breakout season for the Chicago Bears. He’s posted 69 receptions for 929 yards and 5 touchdowns on 124 targets through 16 games. Mooney boasts a 55.7% catch rate while averaging 13.5 yards per reception. He’s added 32 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground as well.
Mooney’s looked outstanding in recent games, but he does come with quite a bit of risk. He’s posted double-digit fantasy points in 7 of his last 10 games. Over that span, Mooney flashed 25+ fantasy point upside as well. With that being said, he recorded as low as 2.9 fantasy points only four weeks ago as Chicago continues to cycle through quarterbacks.
Mooney gets a great matchup against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. They’re giving up 252.1 passing yards per game and 7.4 adjusted yards per attempt in 2021. They’ve also allowed 28 passing touchdowns with a 4.8% passing touchdown rate this season.
Similar to Baltimore, Minnesota’s struggled with air yards and yards after the catch (YAC). They’ve given up 2,287 air yards and 2,049 YAC through 16 games. The Vikings have allowed the fifth-most airYAC (4,336) in the league this season.
Mooney’s seen 36.3% of Chicago’s air yards in 2021, which ranks eighth in the NFL. He’s recorded 1,451 air yards with an 11.7 aDOT thus far. He’s also averaging 4.7 YAC per reception, which is roughly an entire yard over the expected, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
Mooney currently owns a pre-rank of 89th on Jock MKT for Week 18. He’s projected for 11.18 fantasy points, which is his lowest projection in the last four weeks. Mooney should get Andy Dalton at quarterback with Justin Fields on the Covid list. He’s found success with Dalton before, and he comes with plenty of upside for his potential price tag this weekend.
