Jock MKT is one of the most interesting fantasy sports platforms because of your ability to make money on any individual player available on the market. Other users will dictate the price of players, meaning you’ll always have the option to buy anyone in the player pool.
You may be forced to pay a premium for the best players on the slate, although their price tag will never exceed the $25 per share you’ll receive if they lead the slate in scoring. You aren’t forced to buy high-priced options, though.
With over 100 players on the market, some will go overlooked every Sunday. You don’t need to buy the most expensive options on the market to have the potential for a massive payday. In this article, I’ll look at my favorite potential values for Week 16.
Kadarius Toney, WR, New York Giants
Jock MKT Projection: 8.54 FPs
Max IPO Bid: $3.00
Break-Even Rank: 53
Toney’s quietly flashed when healthy for the New York Giants throughout his rookie season. He boasts 35 receptions for 392 yards on 48 targets over 9 games. He owns a 72.9% catch rate with 11.2 yards per reception this season.
Toney’s been a boom or bust option for New York throughout the season. He’s flashed 30+ fantasy point upside, recording 10 receptions for 189 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. Toney posted only 1 reception for 9 yards in 55% of the snaps against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9. His success at this point without finding the end zone only increases his upside.
Toney gets a solid matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. They’re only allowing 223.3 passing yards per game to go along with 6.9 adjusted yards per attempt. Philadelphia’s given up 22 passing touchdowns with a 4.6% passing touchdown rate in 2021.
The Eagles have been one of the better teams in the NFL in terms of air yards and yards after the catch. Ultimately, they’ve struggled more with yards after the catch, though. Overall, they’ve allowed only 3,112 airYAC throughout the season.
Toney isn’t a dominant air yards player, as he’s only seen 9.4% of New York’s air yards this season. He owns a 7.2 aDOT as well. With that being said, Toney is averaging an elite 6.4 yards after the catch per reception. That’s 1.8 yards more than expected, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
The Giants will start Jake Fromm at quarterback, and he’s a low aDOT option with a relatively weak arm by NFL standards. Toney’s the type of player that will benefit from this, as he’s at his best with the ball in his hands. He comes with tremendous upside as New York could game plan him plays that allow him to produce himself.
Toney ranks 111th in Jock MKT’s pre-rank for this weekend. He’s projected for only 8.54 fantasy points. Assuming Toney plays, this rank is entirely too low. He’ll see a larger role with Sterling Shepard injured. There are very few opportunities to get someone with Toney’s upside at this price tag, although there is an inherent risk with his injury.
Devin Singletary, RB, Buffalo Bills
Jock MKT Projection: 9.17 FPs
Max IPO Bid: $3.50
Break-Even Rank: 48
Singletary’s seen mixed results for the Buffalo Bills this season. Through 14 games, he’s posted 633 yards and 3 touchdowns on 134 carries. He also owns 33 receptions for 165 yards on 41 targets in 2021.
Singletary’s been extremely inconsistent because of a lack of consistent snaps. He’s played 70% or more of the snaps in four games, scoring double-digit fantasy points in each game. Singletary’s also seen 82% and 93% of the offensive snaps in his last two games. He totaled 138 yards and 1 touchdown on 26 carries. He also posted 47 yards on 7 receptions.
It’s clear that Singletary has taken over as the lead running back down the stretch. He’s a versatile option that has the ability to contribute regardless of the score. Singletary posted 6 receptions in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before contributing 22 carries in a blowout win against the Carolina Panthers.
Singletary gets an interesting matchup against the New England Patriots. They’re allowing 122.4 rushing yards per game and 4.6 yards per carry this season. They’ve only allowed 7 rushing touchdowns, though, which is a major concern. Ultimately, the Patriots rank as one of the worst defenses in the NFL in yards allowed per carry while ranking as the best defense in rushing touchdowns allowed.
Singletary owns a pre-rank of 103rd on Jock MKT for Week 16. He’s only projected for 9.17 fantasy. Singletary is projected as if he’s still in a timeshare at running back, but that isn’t the case. He’s the clear lead back for the Buffalo Bills, and Singletary comes with plenty of upside in this particular matchup.
