Jock MKT is one of the most interesting fantasy sports platforms because of your ability to make money on any individual player available on the market. Other users will dictate the price of players, meaning you’ll always have the option to buy anyone in the player pool.
You may be forced to pay a premium for the best players on the slate, although their price tag will never exceed the $25 per share you’ll receive if they lead the slate in scoring. You aren’t forced to buy high-priced options, though.
With over 100 players on the market, some will go overlooked every Sunday. You don’t need to buy the most expensive options on the market to have the potential for a massive payday. In this article, I’ll look at my favorite potential values for the Divisional Round.
Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Los Angeles Rams
Jock MKT Projection: 14.41 FPs
Max IPO Bid: $7.00
Break-Even Rank: 7
Beckham’s seen mixed results throughout the 2021 season. Overall, he’s posted 44 receptions for 537 yards and 5 touchdowns on 82 targets between the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams. Beckham’s found significantly more success for Los Angeles, though, posting a 27/305/5 line on 48 targets over 8 games. He boasts a 56.3% catch rate while averaging 11.3 yards per reception for the Rams.
Beckham’s seen plenty of ups and downs for Los Angeles this season. He’s scored as many as 23.3 fantasy points and as few as 1.7 through their 11 games (playoffs included). Beckham’s performed well in the playoffs, scoring 23.3, 12.9, and 17 fantasy points against the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Bucs, and Arizona Cardinals, respectively.
He gets a great matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. They’re giving up 248.4 passing yards per game and 7.1 adjusted yards per attempt this season. The Bengals have also allowed 26 passing touchdowns with a 4.2% passing touchdown rate in 2021.
Cincinnati’s struggled with both air yards and yards after the catch (YAC) this season. The Bengals have allowed 2,470 air yards and 2,028 YAC in 2021. Overall, they’ve given up the sixth-most airYAC (4,498) in the NFL this season.
Beckham’s recorded 1,092 air yards with a 13.3 aDOT this season. He’s only averaging 3.4 yards after the catch per reception, though. With that being said, he’s a player that comes with some upside with the ball in his hands, even if he isn’t the same as early in his career.
With this week being only one game, Beckham ranks seventh in Jock MKT’s pre-rank. He’s projected to score 14.41 fantasy points in the Super Bowl. He’s taken on a massive role in the Los Angeles offense throughout the playoffs, though, and that will likely be the case again this week. If you believe in narratives, Drake placed a massive bet on Beckham and the receiver acknowledged it on social media. It’s just added incentive for him to do well in this game.
