NFL Week 12 Jock MKT Value Buys

Jock MKT is one of the most interesting fantasy sports platforms because of your ability to make money on any individual player available on the market. Other users will dictate the price of players, meaning you’ll always have the option to buy anyone in the player pool.

You may be forced to pay a premium for the best players on the slate, although their price tag will never exceed the $25 per share you’ll receive if they lead the slate in scoring. You aren’t forced to buy high-priced options, though.

With over 100 players on the market, some will go overlooked every Sunday. You don’t need to buy the most expensive options on the market to have the potential for a massive payday. In this article, I’ll look at my favorite potential values for Week 12.

Nelson Agholor, WR, New England Patriots

Jock MKT Projection: 9.62 FPs

Max IPO Bid: $3.50

Break-Even Rank: 47

Agholor’s seen mixed results throughout the 2021 season, although he’s flashed at times. Through 11 games, he’s posted 29 receptions for 396 yards and 3 touchdowns on 51 targets. Coming off of his best season as a pro, Agholor’s taken a step back with his new team. He’s recorded a 56.9% catch rate, averaging 13.7 yards per reception. These numbers are down from 58.5% and 18.7 last season.

Although he’s been inconsistent, Agholor’s flashed upside at times in 2021. He’s recorded double-digit fantasy points in 3 of his 11 games. He posted his best numbers with 5 receptions for 72 yards and 1 touchdown in the New England Patriots season opener. Agholor hasn’t been able to top that yet, but he’s coming off of a 15 fantasy point performance against the Atlanta Falcons, which is his second-best of the season.

He gets a great matchup against the Tennessee Titans this weekend. They’re allowing 253.3 passing yards per game and 6.9 adjusted yards per attempt in 2021. The Titans have also given up 18 passing touchdowns with a 4.2% passing touchdown rate this season.

Most importantly, Tennessee struggled with air yards and yards after the catch this season. They’ve given up 1,602 air yards and 1,331 yards after the catch thus far. Overall, The Titans have allowed the fourth-most airYAC (2,933) in the NFL this season.

Agholor’s recorded 560 air yards with a 14.9 aDOT on 51 targets in 2021. He’s accounted for a team-high 28.1% of New England’s air yards. He’s also averaging 3.5 yards after the catch per reception, which isn’t elite, although it shows he boasts upside.

Agholor isn’t a dominant red zone option, although he clearly has a role. He ranks fourth on the team with 6 red zone targets, turning them into 5 receptions for 42 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith, who rank first and second on the team in red zone targets, are both dealing with injuries, although they’re likely to play this weekend. Still, it could open up a slightly larger role for Agholor near the end zone if they aren’t 100% healthy.

He ranks 97th in Jock MKT’s pre-rank this weekend. Agholor’s projected for 9.62 fantasy points, which is his second-highest projection over the last 4 weeks. He’s a boom or bust option with big-play potential against the Tennessee Titans, who’ve struggled with that at times in 2021. Although their defense has been playing better recently, this is a great spot to target Agholor’s pure upside for his potential price tag.

Evan Engram, TE, New York Giants

Jock MKT Projection: 8.51 FPs

Max IPO Bid: $3.00

Break-Even Rank: 52

Engram’s struggled with injuries and inconsistencies throughout the season. He’s recorded 28 receptions for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns on 41 targets through only 8 games. He’s posted a career-low 8.4 yards per reception, although he owns a near career-high 68.3% catch rate in 2021.

Engram struggled early in the season before heating up over the last few weeks. He posted single-digit fantasy points in each of his first 4 games. He posted 10+ fantasy points in 3 consecutive before struggling against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.

Engram gets a plus matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. They’re only allowing 231.5 passing yards per game and 7.1 adjusted yards per attempt. With that being said, Philadelphia’s given up 19 passing touchdowns with a 5% passing touchdown rate in 2021.

The Eagles have struggled quite a bit in terms of air yards and yards after the catch. They’ve given up 1,381 air yards and 1,303 yards after the catch thus far. Ultimately, they rank 13th in the NFL, allowing 2,684 airYAC in 2021.

Engram’s only seen 180 air yards with a 4.4 aDOT this season. He’s accounted for only 6.9% of New York’s air yards overall. With that being said, he’s averaging 4.3 yards per catch after the reception, which in the area Philadelphia struggles more with.

Philadelphia’s struggled for the majority of the season against tight ends. Adam Trautman, Stephen Anderson, and Donald Parham have all scored in the last 3 weeks. Albert Okwuegbunam wasn’t able to find the end zone, but he posted 3 receptions for 77 yards against the Eagles. TJ Hockenson acted as the focal point of the Detroit Lions passing game, posting 10 receptions for 89 yards. Regardless of the situation, tight ends have found success more often than not against Philadelphia.

Engram brings a pre-rank of 114th on Jock MKT into this game. He’s projected for only 8.51 fantasy points, which is one of his lower projections on the season. Tight ends generally go overlooked on Jock MKT, but Engram plays a significantly larger role in the passing game than as a blocker. He could also see a bigger role if Kadarius Toney is ruled out. Finally, the Giants recently fired Jason Garrett, meaning their offense should improve in the near future.
